Stanford Student Startup Accelerator StartX Raises Another $400,000, Bringing Total Funding To About $1.5 Million

StartX, which is a startup accelerator for Stanford students, has raised another round of funding, adding $400,000 to its coffers since last December.

That money comes from new investors that include Cisco, Founders Fund, AT&T, Groupon, and, and was primarily raised by Stanford students — StartX Sr. Managing Director Jeff Mounzer and Partnerships Director John Melas-Kyriazi — doing business development for the accelerator. That brings the total amount raised to $1.5 million, with previous investors including the Kauffman Foundation, Microsoft, Greylock Ventures, and AOL among others. More...

StartX Announces Partnership with Microsoft

StartX is pleased to announce a Signature Partnership with Microsoft to support high-potential entrepreneurs coming out of Stanford University. Appfluence builds priority-management software solutions for executives and managers.

Microsoft is providing extensive technical, business, and design resources for Appfluence to migrate their award-winning product, Priority Matrix, to the Windows 8 platform.


MindSumo provides a platform for companies to actively engage with students by posting real-world challenges for them to solve. Their community of university students submits creative solutions for a chance to win monetary rewards and recognition.
