Empowering Next-Gen Entrepreneurs
The TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE) Global Program is a unique program designed to empower our youth to become the next generation of entrepreneurs. The TYE Global Program helps high school children learn about the challenges and rewards of becoming an entrepreneur by engaging them in quality educational programs intended to develop business acumen and communication skills. Seasoned entrepreneurs and mentors coach high school children (grades 9-12) based on a business-focused curriculum. The program comes to a close with global Business Plan Competition for the youth. DLA Piper sponsored a sold-out TiE DC event on March 22 with Jim Clifton on, "Why Entrepreneurs Matter More Than Innovators." 90 TiE DC members, guests and newcomers participated in a dynamic discussion of how entrepreneurs drive economic growth, if they are taught or born, and what characteristics they possess.
