Gartner, Inc., October 18, 2010 Microsoft is positioned in the Leaders’ Quadrant of this report that identifies which products contain the features required to address the needs of systematic application-to-application (A2A), B2B and cloud-based application and integration projects. According to Gartner, “[t]he part of the application infrastructure market focused on integration products for A2A, B2B and cloud-based application integration will undergo consolidation, because multiple product features are used across each of the project types. Many users are looking to support their integration projects with an integrated suite provided by one vendor, thus eliminating the burden to act as a system integrator for application infrastructure.”

Visual Studio Magazine BizTalk Server 2009 R2, which has not been released yet, will be known as "BizTalk Server 2010" when it rolls out sometime later this year, Microsoft announced. BizTalk Server essentially functions as a messaging component in service-oriented architectures. It's used by enterprises to help tie disparate business processes together.

Microsoft Services today announced enhanced mission-critical capabilities for customers with business-critical solutions. As part of today’s announcement, Microsoft Services also announced the availability of an expanded Premier Mission Critical add-on aimed at helping customers tackle the support requirements of their most demanding solutions. An add-on to Premier Support, Premier Mission Critical provides a service and support program, with services spanning from solution validation and architectural reviews to proactive services and problem resolution resources.
Microsoft Corp. today announced that multiple payer, provider and partner organizations, including Molina Healthcare Inc., EmblemHealth, Edifecs, Evolute, Neudesic LLC, The TriZetto Group Inc. and Washington Publishing Company are standardizing on Microsoft’s integrated, standards-based platform, with Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 at the core, to support HIPAA 5010 and ICD-10 compliance. The platform also enables health plans to reduce costs and accelerate and automate processes and workflows to achieve administrative simplification.
