Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for MSMQ Product Overview
The BizTalk Adapter for MSMQ provides a "no code" connectivity solution that integrates Microsoft Message Queuing with BizTalk Server 2004. The BizTalk MSMQ adapter provides support for sending and receiving messages using MSMQ 2.0 and 3.0, and takes advantage of the new features in MSMQ 3.0.
The BizTalk Adapter for MSMQ includes support for:

When receiving messages from a local message queue, the BizTalk Adapter for MSMQ provides the means to configure transactional or non-transactional settings, define the batch size, and determine whether the Adapter should take advantage of multiple threads for better performance. When receiving messages from a remote queue, the Adapter provides the same configurations, with the exception of receiving transactional messages.
When sending to either a local or remote message queue, the Adapter provides the means to customize the manner in which messages are sent, including whether to send messages as a guaranteed transaction, whether to receive a message acknowledgment once the message has reached the destination queue, maximum batch and message sizes, message priority, ability to segment messages larger than 4 megabytes (MB), as well as other settings.
The BizTalk Adapter for MSMQ provides the ability to configure multiple receive locations and send ports, allowing you to receive and send messages into BizTalk Server from multiple message queues.
By using the rapid development features in BizTalk Server 2004, you can now build architectures that take advantage of MSMQ 3.0 and that also provide efficient systems management scale-out capability and extensive system and business-level monitoring.
