When you store your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files online, Office Web Apps enable you to make updates from virtually any computer with an Internet connection. (You can now also create Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote documents on Windows Live). You can also access and view your files from your mobile device. Office Web Apps on Windows Live SkyDrive are available for free. You need a Windows Live ID and you’ll need to register for a SkyDrive account with your Windows Live password and then you’re ready to go.

Office Web Apps give you the flexibility to open, edit and save Office documents anywhere, anytime. You can get to your files as easily as getting to web pages and work on them in any popular browser on either a PC or a Mac.
