The monitoring capabilities of Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 are the successor to Microsoft Office Business Scorecard Manager 2005. All of the scorecarding functionality has been built into and improved upon in PerformancePoint Server 2007, along with other key capabilities to enhance your ability to gain insight into current performance trends.

Microsoft purchased leading analytics vendor ProClarity in the spring of 2006, and ProClarity now provides the foundation for the analytic functionality of PerformancePoint Server 2007.

With the release of PerformancePoint Server 2007, customers who purchased ProClarity or Business Scorecard Manager (and are current on their software assurance and product maintenance) will receive upgrades to the full version of PerformancePoint Server 2007, including monitoring and analytics.
