Damir Bersinic

As an IT Pro Advisor for Microsoft Canada, Damir is passionate about reaching out to and engaging with the IT Pro community across Canada. He focuses on working with a broad range of audiences within the IT Pro community to foster relationships and convey Microsoft technologies and solutions. He is proud to be able to leverage his real life hands-on experience to relate to the challenges faced by the IT Pro community today.
Damir is an integral part of the Microsoft team that drives awareness, education and training through events and directly engaging with Canada's professional communities, including IT managers, infrastructure specialists and architects as well as systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs) and community leaders.
Before joining Microsoft Canada, Damir was Data Architect for a large building materials company, as well as a long-time consultant focusing on database and application integration issues. Before moving to Toronto he headed a Microsoft Certified Partner organization in Ottawa which provided consulting, training and systems integration services to private and public sector clients.
Damir is also an accomplished author with titles on SQL Server, Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, and Oracle to his credit. He holds a large number of industry certifications including those from Microsoft, Oracle and other organizations.

Bart Bischoff

Bart joined Microsoft in May 2006 as a Services Executive in the Heartland District within the US Central Region. During his time in the SE role, he worked on a consistent approach to delivering MOSS implementations in a modular fashion which has helped to drive enterprise solution-based service implementations and has resulted in the creation of some reusable IP for Services. In August 2007, Bart joined the BPIO MOSS team as a Senior Product Manager focused on building MOSS Service Offerings for Worldwide services.
Bart has over seventeen years of experience as an IT Professional and prior to joining Microsoft he was an IT Group Manager and Vice President with National City Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, he led a team of 90+ resources in the Enterprise Assets Group with responsibility for Enterprise Shared Technologies, Adaptive Development and was also a key member of the Architectural Review Board. He was responsible for defining services and repeatable solutions for the development of shared technologies within the enterprise. An enterprise implementation of SharePoint for portal, collaboration, content publishing and delivery of applications was just one of the many Enterprise Assets he created while leading this group.

Bruce Cowper

As the Senior Program Manager for Microsoft Canada’s Security initiative, Bruce is responsible for the security strategy including Incident Response, Training and Public Relations, frequently engaging with the community across Canada. He comes from a security background in secure system design, forensics and security risk management and as the Canadian Security Lead leverages his real life hands-on experience to relate to the challenges faced today. Bruce is a prolific speaker and can frequently be found in the media and at conferences across Canada and beyond.
Bruce is a founding member of the Toronto Area Security Klatch (TASK) and an active member of numerous organisations across Canada. Before moving to Toronto and joining Microsoft, Bruce held positions on the board of directors of several IT companies, championing the development of technical excellence and the customer experience.
Bruce holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering as well as industry standard qualifications.

Juergen Daiberl

Juergen Daiberl is a Technical Evangelist at the Developer & Platform Evangelism Team in Redmond. He has 10 years of industry experience and he has worked for Microsoft since 2005. Prior to his role in Redmond he worked at the CTSC (Collaboration Technical Support Center) in Walldorf, Germany, a joint-staffed team between Microsoft and SAP. In his current role he is responsible for the interoperability between Microsoft .NET and SAP NetWeaver on the application level. Before joining Microsoft, Juergen worked as a Senior Consultant and Architect in the EAI Space for Softlab (a BMW Group Company) and for Compaq Professional Service.

Adam Gallant

Adam Gallant is Microsoft Technology Solutions Professional for Developer Tools, who focuses on helping Microsoft’s customers and partners understand how to implement and drive value from Visual Studio Team System in their organizations. Adam has been dedicated to the technical and practical implementation of Microsoft .NET technology throughout his time at Microsoft.
Adam is an experienced speaker and frequently presents Microsoft Developer Network(MSDN) events across Canada.
With a solid background in application design and delivery, Adam has helped numerous clients across Canada with project and program management, business re-engineering and development, software development as well as architectural and technical consulting. He is an expert in the development of knowledge management and commerce capable applications, n-tier application architectures and the design and implementation of back-end business services, including Enterprise Application Integration. Some key projects include the design and development of commercial electronic storefronts, mission-critical database server diagnostics and support, as well as large scale policy management and administration systems based around ASP.NET Web Services and BizTalk Server in the insurance vertical.
Adam has been with Microsoft since 1993. His past roles have included Developer Evangelist, where he engaged with the developer community across the country in helping to drive excitement and implementation of the .net platform. Previous to that, Adam was a Senior Consultant with Microsoft Consulting Services where he focuses on managing technical strategy aimed at customers and partners. In this role he assisted customers in designing, developing and delivering solutions based around the Microsoft Windows Server platform, as well as strategic planning around corporate and partner technology directions.
In addition to his extensive hands-on experience, Adam has acquired several Microsoft certifications including MCSE, MCDBA and MCSD.

Her primary focus is on promoting and educating people on the value of Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) through sales and partner training events, customer campaigns, customer consults, launch events, BI Conferences, and various other channels and events. Kristina joined Microsoft from Business Objects SA (formerly Crystal Decisions) where she was responsible for product line product marketing for strategic alliance partnerships such as SAP and Oracle. Kristina graduated on the Dean's List from the University of Victoria (Canada) business school.

David Trowbridge

David Trowbridge is the Group Program Manager for the Visual Studio Team System Architecture Edition at Microsoft where he leads the effort to envision, design, construct, and release next generation software design and development tools. Using agile development methods in a large scale software development environment, his team is building tools to enable developers to evolve their codebase in an iterative and incremental fashion while enabling architects to communicate and validate standard designs and patterns within their enterprise.
Prior to Visual Studio, David was an architect in Microsoft’s patterns & practices group where he applied his enterprise experience to create authoritative reference architectures, patterns, and reusable assets targeted towards enterprise customers. During this time he was one of the key driving forces behind Microsoft’s pattern initiative, engaged and recruited industry luminaries in to the group, incubated agile development and baseline architectures, and was the lead author of two books on enterprise design patterns implemented with Microsoft technology.

Jamie Wakeam

After completing his computer science degree from the University of Western Ontario, Jamie spent over five years working inside the Windows Client division at Microsoft in Redmond Washington. During his time in Redmond, Jamie worked as a Program Manager on several aspects of Microsoft’s Tablet PC operating systems. This included various projects around end-user interaction design, platform API design, platform deployment strategies and spent part of his time leading the Tablet Platform team in their final integrations steps into the .Net 3.0 framework.
Jamie’s current focus at Microsoft Canada is to help Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) navigate through the various software platforms and technologies offered by Microsoft. Jamie spends a majority of his time working with ISVs architecting solutions that take advantage of Microsoft’s new and emerging technologies.
