BBVA Paraguay is a regional unit of BBVA, a global financial group that operates in 33 countries around the world. As the financial institution grew, employees wanted to automate business processes to speed up their daily work. Although the company used
Google Apps as its communication platform, it chose Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 because it could easily be adapted to company needs, be scaled up or down, and help BBVA Paraguay comply with audit requirements. It also made it possible to develop workflows
very quickly. By using SharePoint, BBVA Paraguay has enhanced customer service while improving operational efficiency. Already, 53 percent of the company’s workforce has incorporated workflows by using SharePoint technology, and more employees are planning
to do so in the future.
