After downloading SP1, you will notice that more applications, devices and software programs are compatible with Windows Vista. Windows Vista with SP1 makes using your PC safer and more reliable.

If you’ve got automatic updates turned on (which is the default setting in Windows Vista), you’ll be prompted with a message window in mid-April that tells you SP1 is ready for download. You can choose to install immediately or select a more convenient time.
