Having a Windows Mobile-enabled device is like having your PC in your handbag or back pocket.
With constant access to the Internet, Windows Live Messenger and Microsoft Office programs, you can answer e-mail and correct proofs in the park, at a café or on a train. Bye-bye desktop. Hello freedom.
T.A.: I’ve had several smartphones before, but my HTC Touch phone works seamlessly with my computer and day-to-day software (mobile versions of Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Outlook).
Files in Word, Excel and PowerPoint have gone back and forth between my computer and my Windows Mobile-based phone several times without any issues. My contacts and calendar sync every time I plug my phone into the computer to charge.
The phone really does feel like an extension of my PC. Plus I love the ability to surf the Internet from anywhere.
T.A.: My Windows Mobile-powered smartphone has simplified my life by combining the best of a modern multi-function cell phone with some of the critical PC applications I rely on.
T.A.: By choosing which programs I want to stare at every time I turn it on. You can set up the landing page with a variety of information. I can say I want Windows Live up front, I want my messaging up front, I want my tasks up front, and I can tell it to put certain programs in the background, like games.
When it comes to customization (photos, ring tones, backgrounds), I change it all the time. That’s the cool thing about it; you can constantly change it.
T.A.: Maps. That’s something I’d like to do more of. I did download one map, but I’d like to be able to go on a trip and look at maps as I move along my journey.
T.A.: I’ve got a South Park episode on here. I just wanted to see what it looked like!
