Carolyn Buccongello

As Vice President of Human Resources Carolyn Buccongello is responsible for implementing a people strategy that aligns to business priorities. Together with her team, Ms. Buccongello works everyday to help create an environment where people do their best work. Ms. Buccongello’s mandate is to effectively assemble a world-class HR team to deliver core HR programs. She is also tasked with strengthening Microsoft Canada’s established position as an employer of choice, attracting the world’s best and brightest.
Ms. Buccongello joined Microsoft Canada in 2004 as Senior Manager, Human Resources. She has more than 16 years of HR experience and brings extensive knowledge of best practices and a passion for leadership to her current role.
Ms. Buccongello is committed to identifying and nurturing leadership qualities in all employees. Under her direction, Microsoft Canada continues the legacy of attracting and retaining the best talent in the industry. The company was ranked one of the Top 25 Best Workplaces in Canada in 2009 by the Great Places to Work Institute.
Ms. Buccongello obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at Memorial University in Newfoundland, a Masters in Industrial Relations (M.I.R.) from Queen’s University and an Executive Coaching Certificate from the Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, California.
