Energize IT 2006 event gives IT Professionals a chance to work with, download, test, deploy and code new software betas
Mississauga, ON, June 5, 2006 - Microsoft Canada Co. is giving over 2,000 IT professionals across Canada the chance to come together, share and experience the latest innovation in the Windows Vista™ operating system, the 2007 Microsoft® Office system and Virtual Server 2005 R2 at Energize IT 2006. Hosted by the Microsoft TechNet Canada Program, the Energize IT 2006 main event takes place on Saturday June 24 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. Satellite events will occur concurrently in Calgary and Vancouver and other locations across Canada can tune in via live streaming video.
Energize IT 2006 will allow IT professionals to experience the new features in an interactive setting and provide tips and tricks to help them get the most out of the soon to be launched products. IT professionals are invited to bring in their PCs to install and test betas on-site while Microsoft experts guide them through the installation of the 2007 Microsoft Office system, Windows Vista and Virtual Server 2005 R2.
Those participants unable to bring their PCs will still be able to get the knowledge necessary to try Microsoft-based technology on their own at home or at the office via live product overviews and demonstrations. The event also features hands-on labs, networking zones to connect IT professionals with peers and technical information sessions.
“Microsoft Corporation has a wave of new innovative technologies coming out over the next year and we wanted to give IT professionals across Canada a chance to really experience the technology,” said Andrew Dixon, Director of Microsoft Windows Server System™, Microsoft Canada. “Energize IT 2006 is a great way for IT professionals to network with their peers and receive great advice from Microsoft experts and community leaders in a fun, hands-on setting.”
