Using MS Dynamics and RFID technology for managing operations for metals manufacturing company Ryerson

Most metals manufacturers, like Ryerson, operate in a just-in-time (JIT) inventory managed environment that uses barcode or other similar item designation technology throughout their operations. Typically, their operations involve the distribution and processing of a variety of metals through a network of distribution facilities and manufacturing plants over a large geographic area.

Please join Amninder Singh, Director of Product Development at Ship2Save for this enlightening interactive Webcast: “Using MS Dynamics and RFID technology for managing operations for metals manufacturing company Ryerson”.

The Ryerson case study will be instrumental in demonstrating how Microsoft Dynamics ERP software and Ship2Save’s Operation Management System, using RFID technology, can streamline operations and deliver superior customer service.

In addition, senior executives in the mining or metals manufacturing industries will learn how to overcome challenges that are specific to their industry, such as:

Shipping the right quality of material to the right customer: Visually, many metal products are identical to the naked eye, but physically they are different in terms of hardness and density. Mistakes are unacceptable to customers, which in turn are quite costly for the company to correct. Ship2Save’s RFID system ensures that your customer gets exactly what they ordered on time.

RFID technology is difficult to manage when it comes into contact with metal and steel or anything with a reflective property. Ship2Save has the solution.

Legacy systems can be problematic when trying to enable new technologies. Discover the many benefits of a Microsoft Dynamics ERP implementation, including its versatility as an enabler of easy-to-use business management tools.

The Fullscope presentation is designed for assembly and fabricated metals companies who are looking to implement or upgrade to an enterprise resource planning system (ERP).

The Fullscope presentation is designed for assembly and fabricated metals companies who are looking to implement or upgrade to an enterprise resource planning system (ERP). For assembly companies, we’ll be profiling Quebec-based Eureka Lighting, a growing North American leader in decorative and architectural lighting products. Eureka’s method of manually tracking inventory could no longer keep pace with the growth of the business. This resulted in Eureka frequently overstocking parts, some of which were obsolete. As well, orders took longer to fulfill, customer delivery times became less predictable and business reporting was nonexistent. After considering a range of options, Eureka selected and implemented a new company-wide solution based on Microsoft Dynamics AX and a Total Quality Management module from Fullscope. Since implementing the solution Eureka has:

Streamlined operations

Reduced operating costs

Improved turnaround times

For fabricated metals companies, we’ll be profiling Ontario-based IMT Corporation, a major manufacturer and supplier to the truck-trailer, OEM and Defence industries. IMT's challenges revolved around their old Baan system, which no longer met their needs and was costing a lot to maintain. There were too many manual steps and processes with the Baan system so they decided to look for a new system that did not require so much support. After considering a range of upgrade options, IMT selected and implemented a solution based on Microsoft Dynamics AX. Since implementing the solution IMT has improved:

Production visibility

Inventory accuracy

On-time customer delivery

This presentation will demonstrate how a complete EDI document exchange and integration system is achieved with the ePortal Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform from eBridge Software

Manufacturing companies process hundreds of sales orders, advanced shipping notices, invoices and other documents on a monthly basis. Manually entering data into time-sensitive and data-intensive documents requires a significant amount of time and resources. In addition, human error can cause poor supplier/customer relations and result in costly fixes. This presentation will demonstrate how a complete EDI document exchange and integration system is achieved with the ePortal Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform from eBridge Software. Through the power of BizTalk Server, the ePortal handles all data routing, communication, translator and mapping services. Document transactions can be viewed from any station with access to the internet. And its integration solution to the Microsoft Dynamics ERP suite provides increased value by eliminating timely and costly manual data entry.

Attendees will learn:

How the ePortal is used in everyday business processes

How the ePortal utilizes BizTalk Server

About the benefits of an eBRIDGE integration solution, which include:

Automatic and bi-directional data exchange

Elimination of the data entry process

Prevention of data input errors

Reduction in costly charge backs

Faster order-payment cycle

Improved supplier/customer relationships

Significant savings in time and money

Why retail needs CRM?

In the retail industry, high levels of customer loyalty, repeat sales, and word of mouth are critical to business success. To achieve superior results in these key areas, the retailer must continually stimulate its customers with targeted offers, promotions, and communications. Marketing campaigns must be managed according to well-defined and proven processes and must be linked to information from the company’s retail management and business intelligence systems to ensure effective customer targeting and personalization. Also, to measure true marketing campaign ROI, retailers require reporting and analysis tools that relate campaign specifics with in-store sales data. In short, retailers need Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Raymark’s new Xtended CRM product is a retail-specific extension for Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM. Compliance = Gaining a Competitive Advantage

We will show you how Sequence, our customizable Business Process Management (BPM) application, will enable you to build your own specific processes and rules, integrated with MS Dynamics GP.  Sequence can also work with your legacy systems, allowing you to connect all of the disparate pieces of your business together.  The goal is to have an integrated environment so that you only enter data into one place and have firm processes to ensure that all of your systems get updated, with the proper controls in place.

Regulatory compliance is an issue few companies can ignore today, especially in the financial services industry. The answer for most companies has been to address specific requirements with ad-hoc solutions. But partial solutions yield partial results. Join us at our executive webcast to see one comprehensive approach to compliance – using Microsoft technologies. We will show you how Sequence, our customizable Business Process Management (BPM) application, will enable you to build your own specific processes and rules, integrated with MS Dynamics GP.  Sequence can also work with your legacy systems, allowing you to connect all of the disparate pieces of your business together.  The goal is to have an integrated environment so that you only enter data into one place and have firm processes to ensure that all of your systems get updated, with the proper controls in place. One of the most challenging issues of any compliance initiative is how to enforce your requirements. How do you ensure that data is entered and updated everywhere it needs to be? How do you get people to review and hand off files according to set policies? How do you ensure documents are tagged correctly so auditors can find them? By attending this session we’ll demonstrate how to make it easier to implement and enforce compliance policies by;

Embedding compliance workflow and rules into familiar business tools

Controlling access to sensitive data

Centralizing data for easier retrieval

Optimizing business process performance

For over 20 years, TGO Consulting has been helping companies like yours to streamline and improve business processes through the use of Microsoft technologies. We can help you implement systems that will enforce compliance, policies and procedures. Our solution will ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.
