From the Editor
Jerome Carron
The last time I wrote the editor's note winter was just around the corner. Well winter never did seem to make the splash we've all come to expect from Canadian winters but we're certainly doing our best to make a splash - just look at what's in store over the coming months.

First VSLive is coming to Toronto from April 24th to 27th. There are many great speakers lined up with our very own Adam Gallant and Jeff Zado, Microsoft Redmond Security Technologist Talhah Mir, industry experts and yours truly so make sure you take advantage of the super early bird special.

In March Microsoft invites you to Mix 06 in Las Vegas from the 20th to the 22nd. Have you been wondering what all the fuss is with AJAX? Want to test drive "Atlas" and explore the latest features in IE7? Do you just want to build a better user experience? When you attend MIX you'll hear about Microsoft's roadmap for the web, and learn the latest about Internet Explorer 7, Windows Media, Windows Live!, as well as "Atlas", Microsoft's new AJAX framework.

If you didn't get the chance to attend VSLive, DevTeach is back in May from the 8th to the 12th in beautiful Montreal. I'll be presenting a number of sessions at DevTeach but check out this incredibly talented list of presenters!

Finally don't forget to take advantage of some of the great webcasts we've put together. Backed by popular demand Dan Sellers continues his SECURITY ON THE BRAIN webcast series every Wednesday in March, while we've got a new series entitled Architecture Thursdays for Architects by Architects.

And if winter should finally come and you're looking for some indoor activities check out the new LINQ preview from the Visual Basic team. The new CTP updates the samples and bits that were first showcased and discussed at the PDC last year. Now is your chance to download the samples, take them for a spin, and provide some feedback to shape the future of Visual Studio.
