From the Editor
Mohammad Akif
Welcome to another edition of MSDN Flash, as a relatively new employee at Microsoft, I continue to get amazed about the company?s focus on building thriving IT communities and collecting feedback from our customers to continually improve Microsoft?s offerings. One of the ways that we develop a strong a community is by holding events and competitions that provide an opportunity for the developers to learn the latest technologies and get recognized in the industry. We have two exciting events coming up in the near future that I wanted to mention today.

Firstly, if you want to learn about developing the next generation Web Applications, take advantage of the AJAX, RSS, Gadgets and other technologies, and learn about improving the security of
your web Application, then I would strongly encourage you to attend the realDEVELOPMENT_06, event in your city, I am very hopeful that you will find it to be a valuable investment of your time.

Secondly, to celebrate the upcoming release of Microsoft Windows Vista, we are issuing the ?Code Master Challenge? to all of you; build great applications on Windows Vista, and we will recognize and reward the code masters amongst you, we have also announced the Vista Beta program that helps you get ahead of the curve and start using the next generation operating system. Please visit the three Web Sites I have listed to find out how you can learn the latest technologies, get recognized amongst your peers and provide feedback to Microsoft.

Lastly, I wanted to reiterate that while you enjoy the enhancements in the latest Microsoft technologies, keep in mind that it could not have been possible for us to provide the value that we do without your fascinating ideas and participation, please continue to provide us with suggestions about what you would like to see in our products. Also, we would love to hear what you think of MSDN Canada Flash. I look forward to meeting you at the events

Best regards,
