Hello everyone,

I wanted to talk to you about XNA Game Studio Express Beta 2. Released at the beginning of November, XNA Game Studio Express Beta 2 really shows us what the final product will look like. The first major change from Beta 1 is the inclusion of the Content Pipeline, a great feature that allows you to manage all your content (textures, models and sound) in a consistent manner. You’ll still have to wait a little while before you can deploy your game to the Xbox 360 but the game templates for it are there now so you can start learning.
We had a great event in Toronto on November 11th where we talked about XNA and XNA Game Studio Express to an audience of enthusiasts, students and teachers. The feedback was great and everyone was excited from the potential of easily building games for Windows and Xbox 360. Go check it out.

I also wanted to let you know about a great new contest* from MSDN Canada. All you have to do is tell us what you think of the this newsletter for your chance to win a loaded notebook with Windows Vista™ operating system, Microsoft® Office 2007 software and Visual Studio® Professional development system. Share with the MSDN Canada team why you read this newsletter and what sections are most helpful and why. To enter, visit: www.msdn.microsoft.ca/flash.

On a last note, regarding our last Developer Night in Canada tour in Ajax, I wanted to let everyone know that you can now experiment with the recent ASP.NET Ajax Beta 2.
