GADGET VS GADGET Competition
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Existing Gadgets on Gallery will not be qualified for this contest.

2. You’ve agreed to the code of conduct as stated at http://gallery.live.com/codeofconduct.aspx

3. To be eligible to win, a participant must be a resident of Canada and of the age of majority in his or her province of residence. Any potential participant who is an employee of Microsoft Canada Co. (“Microsoft”), is ineligible to participate in the competition.

4. The competition will run from 9:00am EST May 14, 2007 to 5:00pm EST. August 15, 2007 (the competition period).

5. Individuals can submit multiple approved gadgets to be eligible for prizes. Please note it will take a few business days for your gadget to be reviewed and only approved gadgets will be posted and eligible to enter the competition. Eligible gadgets must be submitted to live gallery before 5:00pm EST Wednesday, August 15th, 2007.

6. Eligible participants may enter the competition by:

Visiting the website (http://www.microsoft.com/canada/msdn/gadgetvsgadget) and completing the online form.
Gadget must be posted on http://gallery.live.ca. All gadget must be submitted before August 15, 2007, 5:00pm EST time; please note it will take a few day to have your gadget posted to the site..
Items must be new to the Windows Live Gallery

7. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: Look & Feel, Functionality and Innovation. Eligible gadgets must have Windows Live Services integrated.

8. All judges’ decisions are final and will be based on the above criteria.

9. Gadget Vs Gadget winner will be announced no later than September 4, 2007 via MSDN website

10. There are 3 individual prizes available to be won, consisting of:

First Prize: Samsung 40" Widescreen LCD HDTV
Second Prize: XBOX 360 Pro
Third Prize: Dell Monitor - UltraSharp 2407FPW 24.0-inch Wide Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand

An approximate retail value of $4, 000 Cdn.

11. The prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be provided. Microsoft reserves the right to substitute the prizes described above with prizes of equal or greater value.

12. By entering, all participants agree to abide by the official rules and regulations and decisions of the contest organizers which are final.

13. To be declared a winner, a selected participant will be required to sign a declaration and release to: (a) confirm compliance with the official rules and regulations; (b) release Microsoft from all liability; (c) accept the prize as awarded; and (d) consent to the use of the participant’s name, address, likeness and/or image for publicity purposes in all mediums. Microsoft reserves the right, at its option, to publish any winner’s name, address, photograph, likeness, voice or statement without further compensation to the winner.

14. Microsoft reserves the right to contact the the individual who submitted the gadget. Submitters are responsible for ensuring all contact information in the form is correct.

15. Winners are only able to win one of the three available prizes.
