Microsoft Canada's citizenship efforts and programs can be divided into four categories:

Cultivating New Ideas

Innovation is the lifeblood of the Canadian economy, and Microsoft Canada is committed to building our country's ability to innovate, become more productive and to prosper economically.

Helping to Protect Canadians Online

At Microsoft Canada, we know that we have a responsibility to keep Canadians, especially young Canadians, safe while they use technology. Together with government, law enforcement and local communities Microsoft continues to develop programs and technologies that enable a positive and safer experience for Canadians.

Investing in Canadian Communities

Microsoft works with non-profit and public and private sector organizations across Canada to create social and economic opportunities in communities from coast to coast. Microsoft shares its technology, business expertise and the passion of our employees to help Canadians and the communities where they live.

Being a Responsible Leader

At Microsoft Canada, we believe in leading by example: Corporate accountability and social responsibility will always guide our conduct in Canada and abroad.

Citizenship in Action

Microsoft Canada works with a diverse group of organizations to tackle pressing social issues affecting Canadians. From educating parents and children about Internet safety to providing technology for disadvantaged groups, to working with law enforcement to help them apprehend online sexual predators, we try to "walk the walk."
