Volume 10, Issue 24 December 2008
From the Editor
Greetings New TechNet Flash Subscriber,
Visit Our Blog!
For the past three years our team at Microsoft Canada has held the TechNet Innovation Awards where we recognized outstanding innovation in Canada using Microsoft technologies. Over on the developer side, they held the MSDN Code Awards recognizing the same thing.

This year, the TechNet Innovation Awards and MSDN Code Awards program are now combined under one awards program, called IGNITE IT Awards. The spirit of the program is to recognize and give praise to the outstanding contributions, innovative and heroic work of Canadian technical professionals and the work they do at the office and in the community. You enable the technical solutions we all use daily to make our lives easier - so it's time to shine the spotlight and give you the recognition you deserve!

Now praise is one thing and fame is great but what about the other part of that saying? Fame and fortune? PRIZES!
• Two $5000 prizes will be awarded. One to an IT Professional individual or team, and one to a Developer individual or team
• PLUS 10 Runner ups will each receive a $1000 software kit from Microsoft. Learn more.

Submissions are being accepted on December 8th, so head over to http://www.microsoft.ca/igniteIT to find out more about Ignite IT Awards, review last year's winning entries and start preparing your submission. I look forward to highlighting some truly innovative, made in Canada solutions!
