Dear IT Managers,
Energize IT 2008 – Anything is Possible

The last couple of months have been a flurry of activity around the Heroes Happen Here Technical Readiness and Community Connection Events across the country. We have enjoyed connecting with many of you and showing the potential of Windows Server 2008, Visual Studio 2008, and a bit of SQL Server 2008. Rodney blogged about post-event resources, where you can view videos of all the sessions, on the Canadian IT Pro blog.

What’s next you may ask? Energize IT!!! This year, leading up to the main Energize IT event at the Toronto Congress Center on May 24 (the Saturday after the long weekend), we have a cross-country Energize IT Certification Bootcamp Tour starting in Halifax on May 13. There you will learn about how to implement security in Windows Server 2008, how virtualization impacts security as well as discuss certification paths available along with tips and suggestions on how to approach exams. You will also receive a certification book and a free exam voucher for attending. Register now.

That brings us to the main Energize IT event which is happening on Saturday May 24th, 2008. Energize IT 2007 was a phenomenal success, as shown by this short video, and we promise to make this year's event even better. There will be 9 tracks dealing with such topics as Green IT, PHP on Windows, Career, Security and much more. Register now so that you don’t miss out on this great event. You can also take time to enhance your technical skills in instructor-led or self-paced hands-on labs, so bring your notebook as we will have wireless connectivity and power to allow you to make the most of your experience.

Stay tuned as we announce more details on the Canadian IT Pro Blog over the next little while. Registration is open now by going to http://www.microsoft.ca/technet/energizeit so sign up now and tell you friends. It promises to be an exciting event designed to help you energize your career, gain technical skills and connect with your peers. Anything is possible!!
