Unless you have been living under a rock you’ve heard about Windows 7, have most likely tried it, and are even probably running it on your own PC. But you are probably also still running Windows XP in the environment that you manage. You are probably going to be asked to update that to Windows 7 soon as many Canadian organizations begin to migrate to Windows 7 by the end of 2010.
While the deployment technologies have changed quite a bit since you last deployed Windows XP, have no fear, a Community tour is here! Starting on January 26th in
Vancouver
and heading East you’ll be able to join me for an evening deep dive on deployment of Windows 7. From planning, to deployment to application compatibility we’ll cover it all and leave plenty of opportunity for questions. Registration is free, seating is limited so

Introducing Windows 7
. The Windows 7 client operating system offers innovative technologies that improve performance, reliability, security, and compatibility. Because Windows 7 is built on the same platform as Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, the investments you make in Windows Vista readiness—application testing and hardware assessment—will help speed the adoption of Windows 7 in your environment. |
|
Windows 7 - Troubleshooting
. Typically, when users have computer issues, they call the help desk to resolve them. This Learning Snack explores new ways to manage and troubleshoot common computer problems in Windows 7 by using the troubleshooting platform, which includes Action Center and Problem Steps Recorder. |
