Hello!  My name is Simran Chaudhry , and I am Microsoft's Most Valuable Professional (MVP) lead and manage the Microsoft MVP Award Program .  MVP’s are the community’s best and brightest technical professionals who share their knowledge with others and strive to help the community around Microsoft Technologies.  We award MVP’s in many different expertise’, whether you’re a developer who is an expert in Visual Studio, an IT Pro who is an expert in Virtualization or someone who is an expert in Windows Live, you can be an MVP!

I mentioned above that MVPs share their knowledge with the community and help others.  They do this in a number of different ways.  We have MVPs who speak at events, conferences & user groups, MVPs who write technical blogs as well as MVPs who answer people’s technical questions online.

Microsoft recently introduced Microsoft Answers , an online, technical forum focused on consumer technologies.  We also have online forums for IT Professional technologies ( TechNet Forums ) and Developers ( MSDN Forums ).  These forums are great places for you to go when you have a query and are stuck and don’t know what to do.  In these forums, you’ll find tons of information and answers to questions that you might have.  Many MVPs answer questions and post information on these forums and help others with their technical issues.  I encourage you to visit these forums with your questions, or if you’re an expert, you can visit them to help others.

If you have questions about the Microsoft MVP Program or would like to become an MVP, please email me or visit the  Microsoft MVP Award Program site.
