CenturyLink prides themselves on being a trusted provider of multiple solutions to millions of business customers. With the increased attention on hosting data solutions in the cloud, CenturyLink looked to Microsoft SQL Server as the basis for their Database-as-a-Service
(DBaaS) offer. This opened up a number of options previously limited to solutions based on physical hardware, and private cloud offerings. Now customers are empowered to create their own innovative, user friendly, and cost-competitive solutions at a fraction
of the cost, and deploy them in a fraction of the time. And because of this, the cost and effort to manage the systems has been dramatically decreased. The net result is, business customers are spending more money with CenturyLink (with a higher average revenue
per unit, or ARPU), and their total cost of ownership (TCO) for their solutions is considerably lower.
