World Vision International Humanitarian Group Enhances Children's Lives with Advanced Supply Chain Management

World Vision is a humanitarian organization working in almost 100 countries to build a better world for children by addressing needs in education, economic development, health, hygiene, sanitation, water, food, and agriculture. In 2011, World Vision processed almost US$300 million worth of donated goods and managed thousands of shipments by land, sea, and air. Effective supply chain management is essential to World Vision, and the organization selected Microsoft Dynamics to be its supply chain solution, for its flexibility and ability to scale for global operations. In Mongolia, vast geographic scope and difficult terrain created a unique supply chain challenge, but World Vision Mongolia used Microsoft Dynamics to dramatically improve its supply chain performance, which helped the organization enhance its impact on children’s lives.
