Pork farmers association uses CRM to sharpen policy, speed collaboration, and build direct consumer relationships
Deployment posted: 03/11/2014

As producers’ association Australian Pork Limited (APL) expanded, employees found it increasingly difficult to access each other’s contacts, communications and industry knowledge. In 2013, it overcame the problem with a customer relationship management (CRM) system, based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. The web-based repository makes it easy to track farmers’ emails and pig movements, which will ultimately helps create direct relationships between farmers and customers. It also helps Australian Pork maintain quality standards programs and devise effective policy.

Sunkist Lowers TCO While Gaining Greater Flexibility to Enhance System Functionality
Results posted: 03/04/2014

Sunkist Growers—a cooperative owned by farmers growing fruit in California and Arizona—previously relied on a Tier 1 ERP solution that proved too costly to maintain and too difficult to configure for new business-process functionality. Sunkist solved the challenge by deploying Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The solution provides the same capabilities as a Tier 1 ERP solution—but at a much lower cost and with the ability to easily apply process changes that help the company run more efficiently.

4-page Case Study posted: 01/16/2014

In today's dynamic business environment, it is difficult for a retail company that operates within a very specific market to find a suitable IT solution to qualitatively and fully manage business processes. With the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client relations management solution, the retailer of agricultural raw materials Agrera is able to gather, collect, structure, and analyze large amounts of information regarding business processes. The obtained data helps to identify future business potential by providing insight for making long-term business decisions, for better planning of the company's budget and operations, and for drawing valid conclusions. At the same time, the solution does not burden employees, but rather facilitates the flow of internal information and helps to more efficiently divide work among themselves.

2 page Case Study posted: 07/25/2013

Malaysia palm oil plantations company, Lembaga Kemajuan Perusahaan Pertanian (LKPP), wanted to keep a tight control on the costs of its troublesome on-premise email system. The company also wanted to make email easier to maintain and more suited to remote workers. In 2013, LKPP transferred its email into the cloud, with Microsoft Office 365. Now, hardware costs have disappeared and the monthly cost of email costs is predictable and transparent. Office 365 email has proved easy to adopt and maintain: staff like using it on smartphones, and now LKPP is using it as a platform for cloud-based telephony and document-sharing.

Fruitways moves to the cloud
4-page Case Study posted: 07/04/2013

Fruitways experienced increased IT platform integration challenges as a result of the various subsidiaries running largely independent IT systems. Most pressing was the challenge around easy sharing of company data between the subsidiaries and communicating uniformly using a single e-mail system. Fruitways engaged with Space Age Technologies, it’s preferred managed IT services provider, which recommended integrating the legacy disparate environment into a unified network, adopting Office 365 to address some of the communication challenges. After some in-depth research, they agreed that migrating to Microsoft’s Office 365 hosted solution would help with providing much-needed unified communication capabilities, hosted online messaging and collaboration solutions
