To enhance its leadership position as a provider of continuous controls monitoring and auditing software, Approva wanted to make its BizRights software easier to use so that it could be used more broadly within customer organizations. Approva is achieving that goal by creating an Office Business Application that delivers BizRights to business users through the familiar 2007 Microsoft® Office system applications and interface. Business users will collaborate and view key metrics through SharePoint® sites, and collaborate and implement workflows through Office Excel®, Office Outlook®, and Office InfoPath®. The solution will be easy for customers to tailor to meet their specific needs and it’s proving equally easy for Approva to develop; the company estimates that Microsoft tools, technologies, and a rich partner ecosystem are cutting development time and cost by up to 33 percent.
