DaimlerChrysler Objektmanagement und Service (DEBEOS) provides an extensive portfolio of logistics services to DaimlerChrysler in Germany. To meet the requirements of internal customers efficiently, the company invested in a new application called LOGISTIX. This was developed using the Microsoft® .NET Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio® 2005 with support from Microsoft Certified Partner dialogdesign. It optimises logistical processes, including goods inwards, storekeeping, order progress control, stock-level monitoring, reordering, and dispatch. Using the technology, DEBEOS has increased employee productivity across the board. In addition, it can support future logistics requirements with minimal reprogramming and serve new clients outside the DaimlerChrysler group. The new system will deliver 100 per cent return on investment in just 12 months.
