Linklaters is one of the largest law firms in the world with offices in 26 major business and financial centres. Maintaining a strong reputation for professionalism is critical to the firm’s success, and, as such, it has a comprehensive security strategy to protect its network from potential threats.
Linklaters has been using Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2006 for edge security to publish applications to the Internet and for its Web proxy. To simplify IT management and reduce costs, Linklaters sought an integrated Web security solution.
Solution
Linklaters decided to implement Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway 2010, the next generation of ISA Server, based on its flexibility and integrated protection engines, to its 5,000 users. Now, instead of multiple third-party products, Linklaters will use Forefront Threat Management Gateway for its security-enhanced Web gateway. In addition to using Threat Management Gateway as an authenticating Web proxy, the firm will take advantage of several features, including URL filtering and integrated antivirus and antimalware protections.
