Microsoft, in partnership with the Media Center Integrator Alliance (MCIA), announced the winner of the Windows Media Center Ultimate Install Contest at CEDIA EXPO 2009 in Atlanta, GA. The winning installation was submitted by Dustin Anderson, general manager at Vision Audio in Lubbock, Texas, who built a system with Windows Media Center at the core of the entertainment experience in an extensive whole-home installation for a customer in Odessa, TX.

“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from Microsoft and the MCIA. The Windows Media Center platform has enabled us to be on the cutting edge of technology which has provided us with critical business advantages during the economic downturn,” Anderson said.

2009 Winning Install

This year’s winning solution by Vision Audio demonstrated their sound and thorough design and documentation as well as their impressive installation skills. Many manufacturer products went into making this system a unique, customer-centric solution including Autonomic Controls and Crestron for integration control of the entertainment and home’s electronic systems and a number of Niveus Media Servers, leveraging the Windows Media Center experience, as the primary entertainment source throughout the home.

“Our customer is very pleased with the install. The easy to use Media Center interface and the convenience of having all the content in one place are the top reasons our customer likes the system,” said Anderson.
