对于 Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 上的 MCSE 来说，MCSE 认证本身可以满足 Windows Server™ 2003 项目的选修课程需求，将 Windows NT 4.0 上的 MCSE 进一步放在升级的途径上。

如何在 Windows Server 2003 上取得您的 MCSE

•	网络： Windows Server 2003 所需要的核心网络技能与 Windows NT 4.0 所需要的有极大的差异；因此 Windows NT 4.0 上的 MCSE 必须在四项核心网络考试中，证明他们的技能。
•	客户端：如果候选人已经接受过 70-210 或 70-270 考试，就不需要采取进一步的行动。
•	设计： Windows NT 4.0 的 MCSE 并不要求需证明他们的设计技能，因此他们必须通过 Windows 2000 或 Windows Server 2003 设计考试来证明他们的技能。如果候选人已经接受过 Windows 2000 设计考试，就不需要采取进一步的行动。
•	选修课程：选修课程也需要考试，以证明候选人的技术广度、互操作技能，或额外的技术深度。对 Windows NT 4.0 上的 MCSE 来说，MCSE 凭证本身就可以满足 Windows Server 2003 的选修课程需求，因为它已证明了支持其他平台版本的能力；因此，就不需采取进一步的行动。
