| IDC predicts that,
after two years of lockdown on IT spending the IT budget will
increase in 2005. On the one hand, CIOs will still focus on cost
reduction by consolidating and integrating existing IT assets. On
the other hand, they will also focus on creating new applications to
help expand business and increase the revenue. |
|
| In 2004 many
technologies were getting mature, e.g. service-oriented
architecture, Web Services, enterprise virtualization, smart client,
64-bit computing. Advanced also were tools for software development
and IT operations management. The past year also saw the increasing
attacks on information security. It has become CTOs top priority how
to quickly build, easily deploy and safely operate applications by
adopting new technologies. |
