Until recently, Prakash Sundaresan served as Director of Program Management in the SQL Server Strategy and Architecture team. This team is responsible for guiding the overall strategy and architecture of the SQL Server product. In this role, Prakash was specifically responsible for developing the long term product and business strategy for SQL Server, driving the planning for future releases, as well as driving key technology and business initiatives.
Prakash joined Microsoft in 1998. He spent over 6 years in the core SQL Server development team in various roles including Manager and Development Lead in the core database engine. He also spent 18 months in the SQL Server Customer Advisory Team, helping several large customers in Asia implement extremely large mission-critical systems on the Microsoft platform.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Prakash worked as Development Lead at Informix Software. |
