What are You Doing this Summer?
Here at Microsoft, high school students just like you will work on cutting-edge technology that will make a real difference in people's lives all over the world. As an intern, your insider's look into high-tech professions may give you a little inspiration as you make plans for college. It'll also give you a head start on building a good resume. Sure beats scooping ice cream.

How to Qualify:
Be a high school Junior or Senior in the Puget Sound area (at the time of application)
Have a demonstrated interest in technology
Know how to e-mail and use Microsoft® Office Word
Have a basic grasp of HTML, Visual Basic® or other programming language (preferred)
Be 16 years old and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Be available to work full time, 40 hours per week, for eight to ten consecutive weeks starting on June 23, 2009

All Puget Sound area high school students are welcome to apply. We especially encourage applications from underrepresented minorities (African American, Native American, Hispanic), young women, individuals with disabilities, and students from economically disadvantaged families.

You'll receive a competitive hourly wage plus a bus pass and software discounts. You'll get more details during the hiring process.

A resume highlighting computer-related experience, past employment or volunteer work, community involvement, and awards
A copy of your most recent academic transcript
One letter of recommendation from a teacher or employer
