System Requirements

This section describes the software and hardware requirements for a stand-alone installation of Commerce Server 2009 Standard Edition or Commerce Server 2009 Enterprise Edition on a single computer.

RAM	1.0 gigabytes (GB)	2 GB
Storage	NTFS file system-formatted partition with a minimum or 3 GB of free space	NTFS file system-formatted partition with 3 GB of free space plus adequate free space for your Web sites
Drive	CD drive or DVD drive	CD drive or DVD drive
Display	1024 X 768	1024 X 786 or higher resolution monitor
Network	100 Megabits per second (Mbps) connection between client computers and server	100 Mbps or faster connection between client computers and server

Commerce Server 2009 is designed to install on the following platform configurations:

Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2003 with SP2, or Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2, and Windows critical updates
Internet Information Services 6.0 with Windows Server 2003 or Internet Information Services 7.0 with Windows Server 2008
Microsoft Commerce Server 2007 already installed (Standard or Enterprise versions)
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 SP2 Standard or Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise (32-bit or 64-bit), or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise (32-bit or 64-bit)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 with SP1
Recommended: Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 SP1 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 SP1 with December 2008 Cumulative Updates

Note: Commerce Server 2007 is included with your purchase of Commerce Server 2009.
