Office Communicator Mobile 2007 R2 extends your work identity, as well as IM presence information, to mobile devices, giving out-of-office information workers the real-time communications capabilities they need. Built-in security keeps your information safe and secure. With communication channel encryption, transport layer security (TLS) support, and perimeter/internal network protection, your communications experience is safe no matter where you are or what network you use. Office Communicator Mobile is designed to work with your existing Office Communications Server 2007 R2 and Exchange Server 2007 applications safely and easily in order to Minimise cost in additional communications investments.
A single telephone number can be used for your desk phone, PC, and mobile phone so that you can be reached no matter where you are. Outbound calling also gives the same caller identity regardless of whether you use a desk phone or a mobile phone. In addition, with Windows Mobile devices, call forward settings can be configured directly from your phone.
Office Communicator Mobile supports a set of Java phones with the new Office Communicator Mobile for Java. Devices include: Nokia S40 series and Motorola RAZR (v3XX) devices.
For Office Communicator Mobile users, the “Mobile” presence tag indicates to your contacts that you can be reached on your mobile device and whether you are available, busy, in a meeting, or even on a call.
Access to full search capabilities, as well as to recent contacts, expanding distribution lists on your Windows Mobile device, and easy navigation between multiple IM conversations are all included in Office Communicator Mobile 2007 R2.
