| • | Developer's Guide to the Windows SharePoint Services v3 Platform Charles River Media, 01/02/2007The Developer's Guide to the Windows SharePoint Services v3 Platform teaches developers new to the platform and those currently working with the SharePoint 2003 environment how to exploit the new features of the SharePoint Services v3 platform. Too often, even savvy developers only see the out-of-the-box functionality that SharePoint provides and don't fully understand the latent capacity that the underlying platform provides. This book provides practical programming solutions using real-world examples to illustrate the possibilities of SharePoint and to teach developers how to build their own applications. Developers will not only learn how to migrate from v2 to v3 but also experience an in-depth interaction with the object model and built-in WSS Web Services in various settings. Transitioning to any new version of a product is a challenging task, so this book provides the technical details needed for an efficient transition. It is helpful if readers understand SharePoint 2003 development and are well versed in .NET development Web-based programming, and server and Internet technologies. The examples will assume that either the developer has previously worked with SharePoint 2003 or has done some ASP.NET programming.
