 Suggestion for Microsoft |

A small design flaw in IE8 as it relates to the address bar, more
specifically when using the drop down ability of the bar. The delete "X" is
almost inline with the down arrow, so after dropping down to past addresses
to go to, and the correct address is highlighted it is also, by virtue of
positioning, hovering over the "X", causing a deletion of the address. Place
the delete “X” in front of the URL address instead of the current location.

This would be much better but another solution would be to be able to delete
from a context menu.

The current placement wouldn't be regarded as a problem at all
if that obsolete dropdown arrow (which was originally exclusively for
showing TypedURLs entries) was simply removed and all uses
of the Address bar's AutoSuggest list were limited to whatever
a user's typing produced. <eg>

Obsolete? I don't care what it was originally for: it's useful. Removing
features doesn't seem the way to go.
