Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance (MSDN AA)

The MSDN Academic Alliance is a low cost membership program for education institutions in the area of Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Electronic Design, Information Systems or a similar field. MSDN AA grants students, mid-level faculty and professors simple and cheap access to Microsoft technologies and products for research.

The MSDN AA membership option for higher education is called the Developer Academic Alliance (Developer AA). As a program member, a department receives MSDN AA subscription, which includes Microsoft platform, servers and developer tools software.

The software may be installed on any number of departmental lab machines. The software must be used for instructional and research purposes only, it may not be used to run the infrastructure of the department.

Department’s faculty and students may also download and install the software to their personal computers. Please read the End User License Agreement (EULA) for exact information on how to use MSDN AA software. The EULA appears each time you download a title and the agreement must be accepted by you personally.
