The You Make IT Smart spring competition is open to students of Swiss educational institutions. The participants must be at least 18 years old to enter the contest. The prize is a Nokia Lumia 820. This is also a good opportunity for you to make a small fortune by monetizing your app on the Windows Phone Marketplace.
How you can participate: Create two own unique applications or games from scratch for Windows Phone 8 and have it published in the Swiss Windows Phone Marketplace – Microsoft`s virtual store for Windows Phone 8 applications and games. After your applications have been published in the Swiss Windows Phone Marketplace and you have informed us of this, one of the new Nokia Lumia 820 phones will be yours. Please note that we are offering only a limited number of phones as prizes until the end of the campaign.
The submission period begins on March 1, 2013 at 00:00 and ends on June 15, 2013 at 23:59. Phones will be awarded only to applications that meet the competition criteria which are:
- apps submitted to the Swiss Windows Phone Marketplace after March 1st, 2013
- published on the Swiss Windows Phone Marketplace latest on June 15, 2013 at 23:59. Note: The publication needs your name somewhere (Publisher or Copyright), we have to be able to ensure you sent us the links to your own apps.
- you have filled in the registration form or sent us an email including the link to your apps on the Windows Phone Marketplace latest by June 15, 2013 at 23:59. Note: You have to use your student email address or send us an email with a copy of your student card.
Important note: We recommend you submit your apps to the Windows Phone Marketplace two weeks before deadline since the publication process may take a few days.
Submissions after the deadline will not be taken into account. The first 100 students who publish two Windows Phone 8 apps get a Nokia Lumia 820 phone, guaranteed. For later entries there will be a draw. We will start distributing the prizes to the winners after the competition ends. We provide a maximum of one prize (phone) per person.
