![]() Word 97 Patch: Leap Year FixBrief DescriptionThe Word Leap Year Fix addresses a date field issue that occurs when a document is saved as a Word 6.0/85, Rich Text Format, or Web page. Date fields that display the weekday name may be incorrect if the date falls within a leap year. On This PageQuick Details
OverviewWhen you open a document created in Word 97 and then saved as Word
6.0/95 format, Rich Text Format (RTF), or as a Web page (HTML format),
weekdays that appear in a date field may not be saved correctly when the
weekday falls within a leap year. For example, if you entered "Monday,
March 6, 2000," you would see "Sunday, March 6, 2000." The Word Leap Year
Fix corrects this problem by replacing three files — Winword.exe,
Wwintl32.dll, and Wrd6ex.cnv — with updated versions.
