Brief Description
Updated versions of Times New Roman, Arial, Trebuchet and Verdana fonts that include six additional Romanian and Bulgarian characters not available in the Windows XP versions of these fonts.

Overview

Updated versions of Times New Roman (regular, bold, italic and bold italic), Arial (regular, bold, italic and bold italic) Trebuchet (regular, bold, italic and bold italic), and Verdana (regular, bold, italic and bold italic) that include six additional characters not available in the Windows XP versions of these fonts. The new added characters are Unicode code-points U+0218, U+0219, U+021A and U+021B used for Romanian and U+040D and U+045D used in Bulgarian.

For Windows Vista, the update will only upgrade the Verdana font family. The other font families do not need to be updated.

Instructions

Click the Download link to start the download.

Do one of the following:

To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.

To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk. Double-click the EUupdate.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.

Additional Information

These characters are not accessible on the Windows XP keyboards for Bulgarian and Romanian. You may use Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (MSKLC) to define your own keyboard layout. http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx

You can also access the characters via Character Map
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Character Map

If you are using an Office Product you can use the application's Insert Symbol function to input the characters as well.
