Overview
The Microsoft Dynamics™ CRM 3.0 Performance and Stress Testing Toolkit is a tool that was created by the Microsoft® CRM product team to formalize performance testing of Microsoft CRM 3.0. This toolkit facilitates load testing for particular customer scenarios. Taking the time to carefully consider and gather dataset and workload requirements, together with accurate modeling of those requirements may prevent added expense if a performance or scalability design is discovered late in the implementation process. This document, together with the code and examples in the toolkit, are designed to provide a solid foundation for running robust and meaningful performance tests.

System Requirements
- Supported Operating Systems: Windows 2000; Windows 2000 Advanced Server; Windows Server 2003; Windows Small Business Server 2003
The toolkit is distributed in source format only and knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Visual C# is required to use the toolkit. In order to use the Microsoft 3.0 Performance Testing Toolkit you must also have the following components that are not supplied as part of the toolkit:
- Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System running on a client system used to drive the simulation. For most simulations, a workstation with 1GB RAM is suitable for the client system.

A Microsoft CRM 3.0 deployment suitable for performance testing (commonly referred to as a sandbox or development environment) to use as the system under test. Ideally, the hardware configuration of this environment is close to that of the production environment.

Instructions
The file CrmPerformanceAndStressTestingToolkit.exe is a self extracting file. Download the file to a temporary folder. The file is run from a command-prompt window. You can use the following command:

The CRM Product team has taken great care to ensure that the toolkit operates properly, but it is not part of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and is not supported by Microsoft.
