Overview
If you are using a screen reader that doesn't work with expandable links in
Microsoft Office XP online Help, you can download alternative Help with pre-expanded
content.
Note By installing expanded Help files you replace the original
versions of the files. If you decide to revert to the original files, this
page provides instructions. Be sure you have access to the CD or network
location originally used to install Microsoft Office XP. Top of page

Instructions
To install this download
- You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are
offline.
- Download the file from the Microsoft Office Tools on the Web site by clicking
the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog
boxes.
- Double-click the Ofexhelp.exe program file on your hard disk to
start the setup program.
- Click Yes to install.
- Click Yes or No to accept or decline the license
agreement.
Note Clicking No will cause the installation to stop. - Browse to \\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033, and then click
OK.
- Click Yes to all, when asked if you want to overwrite files.
- Click OK.
Instructions for use:
Restart your computer and use the Office XP
online Help as you usually would.
To remove this download and restore your original Help files
- Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
- Browse to \\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\1033, then press and
hold CTRL and click: ACMAIN10.chm, ACTOC10.chm, eula10o.ch,
eula10r.chm, EULA10T.chm, FPMAIN10.chm, fpTOC10.chm, GRAPH10.chm, MCE.chm,
mse.chm, MSOHLP10.chm, msphelp.chm, MSQRY32.chm, MSTORE10.chm, NMCHAT.chm,
NMWHITEB.chm, OFMAIN10.chm, Olfm10.chm, OLMAIN10.chm, olTOC10.chm,

- On the File menu, click Delete, click Yes, and then
click Yes
to all.
- On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs, click Microsoft Office XP,
and then click Change.
Note This will require access to the CD or network location
originally used
to install Office XP. - In the Microsoft Office XP Setup, select Add or Remove
Features, and then click Next.
- Click the plus sign next to:
- Microsoft Access for Windows, click Help, click Run
from My Computer.
- Microsoft Excel for Windows, click Help, click Run from
MyComputer.
- Microsoft FrontPage for Windows, click Help, click Run
from MyComputer.
- Microsoft Outlook for Windows, click Help, click Run
from My Computer.
- Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, click Help, click Run
from My Computer.
- Microsoft Word for Windows, click Help, click Run from
My Computer.
- Microsoft Word for Windows, click Help, click Run from
MyComputer.
- Office Shared Features, click Visual Basic for Applications,
click Visual Basic Help.
- Office Tools, click Microsoft Graph, click Help.
- If you are using Office XP Special Edition, Small Business, Pro plus
Publisher, click Microsoft Publisher for Windows, click Help,
click Run from My Computer.
- Click Update.
If have installed Publisher 2002 in addition to Office XP
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel,
double-click Add/Remover Programs, click Microsoft Publisher 2002,
and then click Change.
- In the Microsoft Publisher 2002 Setup, select Add or Remove
Features, and then click Next.
- Click the plus sign next to
Microsoft Publisher for Windows, click Help, and click
Run from My Computer.
- Click the plus sign next to Office Shared Features, click Visual Basic for
Applications, and click Run from My Computer.
- Click Update.
The next time you start the program, Help will be restored to its
