Brief Description

Domain Specific Languages Software Development Kit for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Beta1 (DSL Tools). The Visual Studio 2010 DSL SDK Beta 1 provides tools and templates for building Visual Studio Domain Specific Language designers for Visual Studio 2010 Beta1. By using the Visual Studio DSL SDK, you can build your own graphical or form-based designers for Visual Studio 2010 Beta1.

Overview

The Visual Studio 2010 DSL SDK includes

Project templates that help developers create graphical or in Form-based (Windows.Forms and WPF) designers hosted in Visual Studio for viewing and editing models for a custom Domain Specific Language.
MSBuild tasks that help developers build and debug their designers
Reference assemblies and IntelliSense documentation for the DSL tools runtime, which ships with Visual Studio 2010
A migration tool helping DSL authors who were using the Visual Studio 2008 SDK to migrate their existing designers to work with Visual Studio 2010 Beta1

The DSL SDK is no longer included in the Visual Studio 2010 SDK, but does require it to be installed first. The DSL SDK is installed into the same folders as the VS SDK. The DSL SDK is now a separate install so that it can updated more easily and more often.

- Windows XP (x86 or x64), Service Pack 2 or later, all editions except Starter Edition

To save the download on your computer so that you can install it later, click Save.
To cancel the installation, click Cancel.
Once you have installed the DSL SDK, you can start creating a new Domain Specific Model project (using the New Project dialog | Other project types | Extensibility | Domain Specific Model Designer), or to migrate an existing Designer (run the DslProjectsMigrationTool.exe tool in %Program Files%\Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Beta1 SDK\VisualStudioIntegration\Tools\DSLTools)
