Rights Management Services with SP2 SDK

Brief Description
The Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) Software Development Kit (SDK) is a package that contains programming documentation, libraries, header files, samples, and tools for developing applications for RMS. This package contains the updated integrated RMS SDK, which replaces previous versions of RMS Client SDKs and RMS Server SDKs.

Overview

A developer can use the features of the RMS API to build applications that consume or publish protected and licensed digital information of their own design. The majority of the RMS API is intended to be used by software developers who are proficient in C++. Knowledge of SOAP is required if the SOAP Web methods will be used. Complete documentation and code samples are installed with the RMS SDK. The most up to date RMS SDK documentation can be found in the MSDN library under Win32 and COM Development/Security/Active Directory Rights Management Services/Active Directory Rights Management Services SDK.

System Requirements

  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2003 Itanium-based editions; Windows Server 2003 x64 editions; Windows XP; Windows XP 64-bit
The RMS SDK can be installed on the above operating systems. These are not the same requirements as the RMS client.
