The installation of updates to the 2007 Microsoft Office servers involves a series of steps which must be completed in the correct sequence for the installation to be successful. It is strongly recommended that you read the Microsoft TechNet article “Deploy Software Updates for Office SharePoint Server 2007” on how to deploy server updates before attempting to install this update. The steps in this document are also applicable for InfoPath Forms Server 2007, Project Server 2007, Search Server 2008 and Search Server 2008 Express.
