Instructions
- Click the Download link to start the download.
- Do one of the following:
- To start the installation immediately, click Open or Run this program from its current location.
- To copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time, click Save or Save this program to disk.
- Launch the file: Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK Documentation for Visual Studio 2003.msi from the directory you expanded this package into. (Windows Installer 2.0 is required to install this program.)
- Follow the instructions in the setup program and install the help files into the same directory that the DirectX 9.0 SDK has been installed into. Installing into a different directory will cause two copies of the files to be copied on the system. Help will still work it will be an unnecessary waste of disk space.

There were no changes since the release of DirectX 9.0
Installing DirectX documentation from both the DirectX SDK and MSDN® Library can result in duplicate topics in Visual Studio. If this occurs, you should take the following steps to uninstall the DirectX documentation from the SDK.
- In Control Panel, click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- Highlight Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK Documentation for Visual Studio 2003, and then click Remove.
