This management Pack monitors DNS 2000/2003/2008 infrastructure health, availability and performance.

Overview

The Windows Server DNS 2000/2003/2008 Management Pack includes monitors, rules, views, tasks and knowledge for the monitoring of your DNS infrastructure. By not only proactively monitoring servers but also DNS zones, DNS global zones and DNS domains, small problems can be detected and corrected before outages occur.

Note: This package includes library MP, 2000 and 2003 MPs, and DNS 2008 MP. DNS 2008 MP can only be installed on System Center OpsMgr 2007 SP1. Others can be installed on either OpsMgr 2007 RTM or OpsMgr 2007 SP1.

8/14/2008 - Updated version 6.0.6278.27. Added support for Windows DNS 2008.
12/19/2008 - Updated vesion 6.0.6480.0. Fixed high CPU utilizations and DNS servers disappeared from the discovery.
