Overview
The SQLH2 Performance Collector is a stand-alone service of Microsoft Windows that collects and stores performance counter data from selected servers. You should install this optional component if you are interested in collecting performance counters along with system information. The SQLH2 Collector gathers the data that this service collects and stores this data in the repository when you run the SQLH2 Collector. To obtain the SQLH2 Collector, search the Microsoft download site and search for "SQLH2".
There are two downloads located here:
1. H2PerfSetup.msi - Contains all files needed to set up the SQLH2 Perf Collector. You do not need to install SQLH2PerfUpdate fixes with this version. Includes "SQLH2 V2 Perf Collector Deployment Guide.doc" which describes how to deploy the Performance Collector.
2. SQLH2PerfUpdate.cab - Contains the updated SQLH2PerfCollectorSvc.exe file and instructions on how to apply this to existing SQLH2 installations. Fixes several bugs that were reported by customers in the Version 2.0 release.
NOTE: You need to have the main SQLH2 Collector running to collect the Performance Collector data and store it to the SQLH2 Repository. The SQLH2 Reports can be used to view the performance data collected.
