Overview
The Microsoft Office Spreadsheet component is an interactive control that lets you enter and calculate data on Web pages. When you publish a range of Excel 2000 data to the Web with interactivity, the data is placed in a Spreadsheet component on the Web page. The spreadsheet toolbar has a Help button from which you can access topics about working with the spreadsheet.
This updated Help file, msowcfun.chm, contains improved Help topics for the Spreadsheet functions. The topics provide more information and examples to supplement the topics in the original version of msowcfun.chm.
Follow these instructions to install the updated version of file msowcfun.chm. The installation automatically replaces the copy of this file currently in a subfolder of your Office folder.

To install this download
- You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
- Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link
above and following the instructions in the dialog
boxes.
- Double-click the msowcfun.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
- Open or create a Web page with a Spreadsheet component. For example, you
could run Microsoft FrontPage® 2000, click the New Page button, point
to Component on the Insert menu, and then click Office
Spreadsheet.
- Click the Help button on the toolbar in the Spreadsheet.
- To display the Spreadsheet function topics, click the Show button
in the Microsoft Spreadsheet Help window. Click the Contents tab,
open the Working with Functions book, and then click the topic
"Spreadsheet function Categories". This topic lists and describes
all of the functions by type, with jumps to each function topic.
The updated Help is available both when you're designing a spreadsheet in a
program such as FrontPage or Microsoft Access data access page Design view,
and when you're viewing the Web page in Internet Explorer.
To remove this download:
- On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the Install/Uninstall list, select Microsoft Office
Spreadsheet Updated Function Reference, and then click Add/Remove.
- Click Remove All.
- Click Next.
- Click Finish to complete and exit the installer.
